Phoenix Restorations is proud to offer expertly restored Land Rover vehicles, including the iconic Land Rover Series. Known for its rugged design and versatility, the Series II,III Land Rover is a legend among off-road enthusiasts and adventurers. The first Land Rover Series, a predecessor of the Defender builds in a way- known as the Series I, was launched in 1948 at the Amsterdam Motor Show on April 30th. It was initially designed for agricultural and light industrial use, with a focus on utility and off-road capabilities. The Land Rover Series II was produced from 1958 to 1971, while the Series III was manufactured from 1971 to 1985. The Series II featured a more refined design, improved mechanical components, and a sleeker shape compared to the Series I.
Our catalog includes both the short-wheelbase and long-wheelbase variants of the Series 3. The short-wheelbase is ideal for urban driving and tight spaces, offering excellent maneuverability. The long-wheelbase is designed for extended expeditions, offering enhanced cargo capacity and comfort.
Each restored Land Rover Series is built to be enjoyed in its own unique way. Engine options for this build include either the original Land Rover 2.25L petrol or a small block V8, the latter requiring significant modifications to the vehicle’s body. Either way, driving one of these is pure joy even if it’s not the most comfortable ride by modern standards. In a world obsessed with plush seating and your Starbucks decaf, sugar-free, non-dairy latte, this is a refreshing return to raw, mechanical driving.
We also equip our Series 3 builds with hydraulic steering for a smoother, more manageable driving experience.
We aim to keep the interior’s classic design as untouched as possible. The speedometer and dashboard remain clean and true to their heritage, while we enhance the driving experience with upgraded seating, a surround sound system, and HVAC.
